A Quiet Place and a Desert Are Pretty Much the Same Thing

Another piece that came to me more or less complete in concept and named itself when completed. This is the usual way. The concept arrives fully formed and I am the workman executing it. The name also is a gift.
And as is often the case, this artwork closely fits my mood of vague drifting at the time. I typically work in silence and I felt lost, without direction.
My artworks often recall difficult, sometimes painful times. People tend to view them similarly, but value them as life markers: statements of a time now past, demonstrating the distance they have come since.
